US 101 south at John St in Salinas was closed, and Caltrans listed a planned closure on SR-68 toward Toro Park.
2 road closures listed in the county today
Today in Monterey County, the main story was on the roads. The California Highway Patrol reported a road closure on US 101 southbound at John St in Salinas. It began early Monday and was still listed as active.
Caltrans also listed a closure on SR-68 East, from Route 68 to Toro Park. It started early in the day and is being monitored.
Beyond those two closures, the public feeds showed little else today. There were no serious reports and no unusual counts. Drivers heading south through Salinas or along SR-68 may want to check conditions before they go.
