The story of Los Angeles · September 28 to October 28
A steady month in LA, until road hazards piled up in the final week
Citywide totals stayed near normal, but the last week brought hazard clusters downtown and in Reseda and a string of freeway closures.

Over the last 30 days, Los Angeles looked close to normal. There were 12,196 road hazard reports against a usual 11,884. Vandalism came in at 59,971 reports, a little under the usual 63,946, and weather alerts held at 506 against 513.

A CHP SigAlert on the northbound 57 at Brea Canyon Road, after a fatal collision, stayed listed for more than eight hours.
